Many of Queensland’s talented juniors were granted the opportunity to learn from both GM Ian Rogers and CM Kerry Stead. The one day Masterclass coincides with The 2019 Gold Coast Open, the selected participants have coaching sessions with both GM Rogers and CM Stead throughout the day before having the opportunity to challenge GM Rogers in a simultaneous exhibition in the afternoon.
This preparation will be valuable to many of the juniors participating in the various divisions of the Gold Coast Open as well as practice in the lead up to the 2019 Queensland Junior Chess Championships which begins next week.
