The Leo Wilkinson Memorial is back for another exciting edition and provides a another opportunity to warm up for the Queensland Championships the following weekend!
There are limited spaces available for this event so make sure you register early to secure your spot.

Regulations for the 2021 Leo Wilkinson Memorial Open
An 6-round Swiss tournament. ACF and QJ rated.
All games will be played according to the FIDE Laws of Chess.
Time control: 60 minutes + 20 seconds increment from move 1
Pairing System: Vega using Swiss Dutch FIDE JaVaFo
Tie Break: 1.Buchholz Cut 1; 2.Buchholz; 3.Direct Encounter.

Forfeiture time: 30 minutes from advertised start time.
No electronic devices will be permitted in the playing area unless authorised by the arbiters.
Co-Vid-19 plan in place.
Only players and officials will be permitted in the playing area unless authorised by the arbiters.
Half Point Byes: A maximum of two half point byes only will be permitted for rounds 1 to 5
Entry Fees: $75 Adult. $60 Juniors and Pensioners.

Total Prize Pool: $2550
PRIZES: 1st: $1000 2nd: $500 3rd: $250 plus 5 rating groups! A:$200 B:$175 C:$150 D:$125 E:$100 plus Best Unrated ACF: $50
In case of a tie, the Tournament title will be shared and all prize money for placings will be evenly split.
